Educational and Learning Goals for the Department of Electrical and Electronic Information Engineering
In this department, we aim to foster the following knowledge and ability:
(A) A broad philosophy with regard to humanity and the environment This captures a multifaceted approach to society from a global perspective; a symbiosis between humanity and the environment; the ability to think about happiness, health and the welfare of humankind.
(B) High ethical standards in relation to society as an engineer As professional engineers, the ability to identify, resolve and evaluate the technical challenges faced by society in an ethically responsible manner
(C) The basic skills and applicability necessary to scientifically make technological advances Utilizing the ability realized from the acquisition of a basic knowledge in science and technology; the mastery of subjects in mathematics, natural science, information technology, MOT, global environmental technology, and intellectual property
(D) Analytical ability, logical thinking, design skills and executive ability for technological sciences Acquiring engineering expertise, applying practical and creative ability toward problem solving
(D1) Acquiring knowledge in subjects that make up the foundation of electrical and electronic information engineering: physics, chemistry, electric and electronic circuit, control engineering, systems engineering, materials science, energy transfer engineering, information engineering, communication engineering, etc., developing practical and creative ability to solve problems
(D2) The ability to plan and carry out experimentation, accurately analyze data, make technical observations, and effectively communicate results
(D3) Demonstrate the ability to understand the practical problems and challenges experienced by engineers, devise engineering solutions to these problems while working
within design parameters
(D4) A broad range of expertise and the operational capability in one of the following four professional courses of study:
1) Electronic Materials Course
Acquiring the basic skills, knowledge, and operation capability in the areas of materials science, process technology, and measurement technology.
2) Electrical Systems Course
Acquiring the basic skills, knowledge, and operation capability in the areas of electrical energy related to its generation, transportation, control, measurement, applications, and future system.
3) Integrated Electronics Course
Acquiring the basic skills, knowledge, and operation capability in the areas of electronics for integrated circuits, sensors, optical and electronic semiconductor devices.
4) Information and Communication System Course
Acquiring the basic skills, knowledge, and operation capability in the areas of high-frequency, analog hardware, digital hardware, and networking for information, communication, control, and measurement systems.
(D5) The acquisition of basic knowledge on the technology transfer, intellectual property, and management of research and development
(E) The ability of self-expression and communication for domestic and international activities The ability to publicize and communicate research results and ideas through academic papers, oral presentations, and various media at home and abroad
(F) With respect to the changes in new technology and the social environment, a spirit of inquiry and lifelong learning The ability to independently pursue lifelong learning in response to changes in the society, environment, and technology
(G) The ability to work in teams The ability to contribute to achieve the target as a team member, having respect to the senses of the other team members
